🚀 Senior/Staff Backend AI Engineer | Python + GenAI + Agents + MCP We are looking for an experienced Senior/Staff Backend AI Engineer to join our product engineering team and build production-grade AI-powered capabilities across our products. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong Python Backend Engineer with hands-on GenAI/LLM experience who wants to work on AI Agents, Agentic Workflows, MCP, LLM integrations, and intelligent automation. 📍 Location Pune | Work From Office – Full-Time 🚫 Remote work is not available 💼 Experience 6+ years in Software Engineering Ideal range: 5–9 years 🔥 What You'll Work On Build scalable backend services and APIs powering AI/LLM-based product features Develop AI-powered conversational assistants Design and implement AI Agents & multi-step Agentic Workflows Build and integrate Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and clients Integrate commercial and open-source LLMs and AI platforms Build workflows connecting LLMs with APIs, databases, search systems and third-party services Implement RAG, retrieval and contextual grounding Develop LLM evaluation and testing frameworks Implement safeguards, fallbacks, observability and monitoring for production AI systems Work with backend teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing product architecture 🛠️ What We're Looking For Must-Have: Strong Python programming Backend development & REST APIs Hands-on experience building AI Agents / Agentic Workflows Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) and MCP Servers Practical experience with: LLMs & GenAI Prompt Engineering Tool / Function Calling Structured LLM Outputs Context & Conversation Management LLM Orchestration Experience building production applications, not just POCs or notebooks Experience with databases and external API integrations Understanding of asynchronous processing, queues or event-driven architectures Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities ⭐ Good to Have RAG / Vector Databases LangChain / LangGraph or similar LLM orchestration frameworks OpenAI / Anthropic / Gemini or other commercial LLM APIs Cloud platforms such as AWS / Azure / GCP AI evaluation and observability Distributed systems and microservices 🎯 Who Will Be a Great Fit?
