🚀 **Hiring: Senior Product Development Engineer | Pune** Are you a senior engineer who still wants to **write code, solve hard problems, and directly influence the product**? We’re looking for an experienced **Senior Product Development Engineer** to join a global SaaS product company building technology at the intersection of **mapping, spatial computing, data, algorithms and AI**. This is a **hands-on Individual Contributor role** — not a people-management or traditional Tech Lead position. ### 🧩 What makes this role interesting? You’ll work on a product that transforms complex architectural floor plans into intelligent, interactive spatial maps used across **universities, hospitals and enterprise campuses globally**. As the platform evolves, the engineering team is bringing **AI/ML-driven automation** into areas such as: • Automated map generation • Spatial data extraction • Intelligent routing • Geospatial computation • Data transformation pipelines • Large-scale map rendering and integrations You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Customers and Support — so your work will have **visible, direct product impact**. ### 🔧 What we’re looking for **8+ years of post-graduation engineering experience**, with a strong preference for engineers who have spent their careers as hands-on ICs. **Core technical strengths:** ✅ Deep Python expertise — internals, async IO, concurrency and microservices ✅ Experience with **FastAPI / Celery** or similar Python ecosystems ✅ Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures ✅ Experience solving problems involving **geometry, graph theory, spatial algorithms, mathematical computation or complex data transformations** ✅ Practical exposure to **Java backend services** ✅ Ability to read, debug and work around **C++ modules** ✅ Experience with APIs, distributed systems and integrations ✅ Product engineering experience in **SaaS / B2B / B2C product companies** ### 🤖 AI-first engineering mindset We’re actively embracing AI in engineering. You’ll be expected to use tools such as **Cursor, GitHub Copilot and Claude** to accelerate development, refactoring and testing — while retaining strong engineering judgment around **architecture, security, correctness and maintainability**. You’ll also contribute to bringing AI/ML capabilities directly into the product. ### 🌍 The engineering culture You’ll be part of a genuinely **global, low-hierarchy engineering team** spanning India, Europe and other locations. There are no “back-office” engineering teams here. Engineers collaborate directly with Product, Customers, Sales and Support, and are expected to take ownership beyond simply implementing tickets.
