🚀 Job Opportunity: QA Manager (Hands-on & Automation-focused) Location: Bangalore Compensation: ₹45,000,000 - ₹50,000,000 (45 - 50 LPA) Industry: FinTech / InsurTech About the Role We are looking for a Hands-on QA Manager who still loves getting into the automation code. This is not a role for someone who has moved entirely into high-level planning, slides, and status updates. You will directly own UI and API test automation, run the QA process with absolute consistency, and serve as the final gatekeeper for product quality. Part of this job is being the customer's ultimate advocate inside the building. If a defect would embarrass us in front of a client, it doesn't ship. You must be comfortable being the person in the room who says a build isn't ready, even when deadlines are tight and that answer is unpopular. 🎯 Key Responsibilities Hands-on Automation: Build, run, and maintain UI automation (Selenium, Playwright, or similar) and API automation (Postman, REST Assured, or similar) frameworks from scratch yourself. Process Discipline: Run the QA lifecycle identically every single time—test planning, design, execution, defect triage, retesting, and sign-off. No cutting corners for tight deadlines. CI/CD Integration: Wire automated suites directly into our CI/CD pipeline so they run on every build, not just as a pre-release afterthought. Guard the Quality Gate: Act as the internal advocate for the customer. Proactively push back on release readiness when data does not support a stable ship. Root-Cause Resolution: Track defects down to their root cause and follow them through to an actual fix, rather than just closing tickets.Domain-Driven Testing: Use your deep knowledge of insurance/reinsurance (policy layers, limits, deductibles, underwriting workflows) to design test cases mirroring real broker behavior. AI-Driven QA: Get hands-on with GenAI testing tools, self-healing scripts, and LLM-based automation copilots to match the pace of the AI capabilities we are building into our own product.Agile Integration: Operate as a core, daily participant inside Agile sprints, not as a downstream gate that delays testing. Transparent Reporting: Write straightforward test reports that plainly state what is broken and what is functional without burying red flags. 📋 Required QualificationsExperience: 9–12 years spent actively writing and running automation code, not just managing teams who do it. Technical Mastery: Current, expert skill in UI and API automation framework design from scratch. Insurance Expertise: Working knowledge of insurance, reinsurance, and underwriting concepts (specifically policy structures like layers, limits, and deductibles). AI/GenAI Testing: Direct experience using AI-assisted test generation tools, self-healing test scripts, or LLM test copilots with a genuine drive to modernize QA. Pipeline Knowledge: Hands-on experience integrating automated testing suites within a CI/CD pipeline. SDLC & Agile: Full lifecycle software development exposure with practical, daily experience working inside Agile teams . Ownership & Communication: Self-disciplined to manage your own daily tasks with minimal oversight.
